Lapsang Souchong is a black tea that is harvested from the mountainous region in the province of Fujian in China. Ours is an Organic Tea with a very distinctive and very bold smoky flavor. Its leaves are traditionally smoke over a pinewood fires.
Lapsang Souchong is not for everyone. It can be considered an acquired taste. You can reduce the smoky flavor with steamed milk or cream.

Use 2 teaspoons per 16 to 24 oz pot.
Use Hot (160º - 180ºF.) water.
Steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
