The Green Jade Oolong (Formosa) Tea is harvested in the Nantou County of Taiwan. Most Oolongs are produced in Taiwan and as a rare prized tea they are difficult to get in the US.A traditional semi-oxidized tea that is withered, curled and rolled. A highly prized tea, similar in style to Tung Ting Tea. tightly rolled leaves. Jade Oolong has a fresh floral aroma with a slight hint of fruit. It has a brisk clean finish.
Formosa or Beautiful Island is the name that Dutch traders gave to Taiwan. The teas grown here, mainly north of Taipei, are still referred to a Formosa. Use 1 Tablespoon per 24 to 35oz pot.
Use Very Hot (180 - 195 F.) water.
Steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
Can be infused 4 to 6 times.
