Our English Breakfast Tea is a blend of Keemun and Nilgiri black tea. Keemun Black Tea is also known as Keemun Gongfu tea or Qimen Gongfu. Keemun black teas is one of China's famous teas. It is a lighter tea known for its fruity flavor and slightly smoke floral aroma.
This is blended with Nilgiri Tea. Nilgiri Black Tea is grown in the Blue Mountains of South India by small growers. It is a dark, very aromatic, fragrant and flavored tea. It is medium-bodied with a smooth, mellow taste and subtle, natural sweetness or sometimes fruitiness.
When these two teas are combined you get an intensely aromatic tea with a hit of a floral or fruity flavor. It have a medium body that can be the start to any day. It makes an excellent breakfast tea but is also very good served cold. Try it with steamed milk or cream for a true English taste. We decaffeinate this tea using an all-natural CO2 method that removes the caffeine and leaves the leaves undamaged and full of flavor.
Use 2 teaspoons per 16 to 24 oz pot.
Use Boiling (212? F.) water.
Steep for 5 to 7 minutes.
